Did you know?
Caerleon has one of the largest and most successful Junior Football Clubs in Wales. Some very talented Girls have starred in our teams for many years. In 2006 we launched our Girls Squad to enable children to train and play in an ‘all-girls' environment.
Newport District League are intending to run 'all girls' leagues in the future and girls are currently allowed to compete in/against boys teams up to and including Under 12's. Therefore training with our Girls squad does not prevent players from joining our mixed teams as well.
Who can join?
The exact format and Ages of the Girls Group will vary depending on player numbers. Interested parents should contact the Girls Squad Manager.
What Equipment is needed?
Can parents help?
Absolutely – anyone willing to help with Coaching, Admin etc is very welcome - just let the Girls Squad Manager know and he will explain what is involved.
